When we give recommendations on our website, through direct communication, or in support tickets, this is based on our experience, and the tests that we have conducted.
There's nothing that we like more than a happy customer, so the numbers that we give (the number of channels that our software can encode simultaneously, or RAM recommendations...) are pretty conservative, just to be on the safe side.
But results may vary. For example, in regards to the number of channels that can be encoded, the type of signal that gets in and other specifics of your setup may affect the results, also drivers or macOS versions may change what you can achieve, this is why we cannot guarantee these numbers.
The best is always, as much as possible, to test with our free demo versions. This is why we have them, so you can make sure that the software meets your needs. Of course, we understand that you cannot always do that if you don't have the hardware yet, which is why we provide you with benchmarks to act as guidelines.
You may also want to reach out to one of our resellers. They are very knowledgeable, and they are integrators, so they can make sure that all pieces of your exact workflow fit together.
