With OnTheAir Video 4, if you purchase the DGO option, you can overlay dynamic graphics on top of the video. Overlaying dynamic graphics was already possible with OnTheAir Video 3, but it required a separate application (OnTheAir CG Server) to do that. But now with the DGO option, this is built-in, no need to do a complex setup, and it's also using less resources.
So all in all we think using the DGO is a much better option. But some users may still want to use OnTheAir CG, and it's still possible. The reason can either be that:
- you are used to the workflow and don't want to change
- you want to separate completely the video playout and the graphics. Maybe you have a production switcher behind and want to send both separately.
- you prefer to use the keying feature of a video card.
