HOW TO: Know which version of Deltacast Drivers is installed

As there is no application installed with the Deltacast drivers, it is not easy to know what version is installed. But there are 2 ways of knowing which driver is installed:

• through "System Profiler". This is the way to go if you received the logs.
• through dCARE. If it is installed and you have access to the computer.
• in the application logs. This is only since April 2017 on some applications we will log the same DLL information

Below you can find the way to find the information, and here is the table with the driver versions:

In System Profiler

You can look in the system profiler for Extensions:

System Profiler > Software > Extensions

There search for DELTA-X300 (or delta-x300). In previous versions, the "Version" column always showed 1.0, but you can check the modification date. Note that it's the CET time, so it may change +- 1 day depending on the timezone you are in.

In dCARE

If you are on the computer and have dCARE installed, you can start it and check the logs when it starts up, here is where the driver version is indicated:

Note that we have circled the DLL as well as we have seen in some rare cases that we received drivers with identical version number but different DLL (that was the case for a fix we received for drivers 5.19).

In application logs

Most applications (if compiled after 2017) also log which driver is installed when they start. For example MovieRecorder :

 Note that :

• the plugin version is our code version, it should change very rarely
• the SDK version is the version of the card SDK that was used in our code
• the drivers version is the same one as the DLL information that you can see in the table above
