If you try to do a deactivation and it fails, there can be a few reasons. Depending on wether you are doing a manual or via internet deactivation, there can be different causes (see below).
In any case make sure that your license is properly deactivated before reformatting your hard drive, or anything like that as a deactivation can only be done on the computer with the license still activated. There is no way for us to deactivate a license for you.
"Deactivation via internet" failed
If you try to de-activate your licenses via the internet and there is an error indicating that you should "contact Softron for assistance," make sure that:
- none of the serials you want to activate have expired
- you have read & write access to the following folder (WARNING: do NOT to modify any of the files within that folder or your may loose any existing activation):

/Library/Application Support/Softron/
- your FireWall do not block communications on port 8081 (check with your IT department)
"Deactivation manually..." failed
You can have different errors at the different steps of the manual deactivation.
It fails when you click on the button "Deactivate manually"
If you click on the "Deactivate manually" button and there is an error telling you to "contact Softron for assistance", make sure that you have read & write access to the following folder:

/Library/Application Support/Softron/
WARNING: do NOT to modify any of the files within that folder or your may loose any existing activation
You can not connect to the manual deactivation webpage
- Check that your FireWall allow connection on port 8080.
- We are undergoing maintenance on our deactivation server, and you should try again later.
On the manual deactivation webpage you have a message that the deactivation was not successful
Verify that:
- you have entered both the Activation and Deactivation codes (and NOT the serial number which is not needed here).
- you didn't deactivate it already.
- none of the serials you want to deactivate have expired
- you have typed correctly the Serial number and activation codes (take extra care not to mix a zero and the letter o for example, or a capital I with a small L, and do not leave any blanks before and after the codes).
- We are undergoing maintenance on our deactivation server, and you should try again later.
