HOW TO: Transfer my license to another user?

In the Softron License Manager, each serial number can only be owned by one user at a time. You may share your license with other users, but shared users will have restricted access to some features.

To transfer a license you own to someone else (who must already be assigned to that license), follow the following steps.

Transfer licenses one by one

• Open the license’s details by clicking the three-dot icon at the right.

• On the right side, find the list of assigned users. Hover over the person you want to make the new owner and click the icon that appears.
• In the confirmation dialog, click Transfer.

• Enter your account password to confirm.

Once complete, both you and the new owner will receive an email notification of the ownership transfer.

Transfer multiple licenses at once

• In the list of serial numbers, tick the checkbox on multiple serial numbers.
• In the "Batch Actions" menu, select "Transfer Ownership"
• In the window that pops up, select the person you want the license to be transferred to.
• Click on "Transfer"
• For security reasons, we'll ask the password for your account. Enter it and click on "Confirm".
• That's it. Both you and the new owner will receive an email notification of the ownership transfer.
