What's new in OnTheAir Video?

Note: New Dynamic Graphics Overlay option item types require OnTheAir CG Designer 3.7 to create the projects.

• NEW: DGO option: Added a new "Graphics" window that replaces the table in "Settings > Graphics". CG Projects should be added and controlled from that window. (See more details above)
• NEW: DGO option: Removed the "Inspector > Graphics" tab. CG Projects should now be controlled from the "Actions.
• NEW: DGO option: Added "SuperSource" Items. 
• NEW: DGO option: Added the ability to render QR codes
• NEW: DGO option: Added the ability to animate items when updating their values. For example, with the following kind request to update a text item, you simply add the "animate_on_update":true' parameter to tell the DGO option to play the "Out Transition" of the item, change the value, and then play the "In Transition" again:

• NEW: DGO option: REST API: Added the ability to send image as base64 data
• NEW: DGO option: REST API: Added the ability to change the color and stroke of shapes
• NEW: Actions Editor: Modify built-in actions and save them as user actions for easier recall. Great for frequently used actions like SCTE triggers, or Lower thirds. 
• NEW: Added the ability to copy actions from one clip to another. Simply hold the option and command keys down, when drag and dropping a clip on to another one.
• NEW: Actions Editor: Create Macros of custom actions to trigger multiple actions at once
• NEW: Actions: Added Bitfocus "Press Button", "Set Variable Value", and "Step Button".
• NEW: Actions: Added HTTP Request as an action. Users may select a "GET", "POST", "PUT", "PATCH", "DELETE", and add a body to the request. 
• IMPROVED: Clicking the "+" in inspector timeline now puts a popover window with the different action categories for swifter selection.

WARNING: Important behaviour change for the Dynamic Graphics Overlay option!

This version of OnTheAir Video brings a lot of changes regarding the "Dynamic Graphics Overlay" option.

First something easy to see is that you can now open a "Graphics" window to add your DGO projects and control them. The interface looks a bit like OnTheAir CG Server. This window adds a lot of new features by itself:

• control projects, start, stop, pause,
• change the values of "published" fields
• set the project in loop
• scrubbing in the project (when it is timed)
• remote control of projects

The second major change is how you control those graphics. Up until now, the DGO projects were controlled from the "Inspector > Graphics" tab. The downside of this is that every time a clip would start, it would reset what was potentially changed by either an Action, or the API. To bring more flexibility to the application, and make it easier to understand, we are removing the "Inspector > Graphics" tab, and all the controls should happen from the Actions.

Note that some of the features below require OnTheAir CG Designer 3.7 or later to be able to create some of the items (SuperSource, QR code,...)
